Manage hot rooms
Evaluate solar-control films around window orientation, room use, comfort, and daylight—not a generic energy-savings promise.

Comfort designed around your home

Residential film can reduce hot spots, glare, and UV exposure while preserving natural light and exterior appearance. Clear/selective, ceramic, reflective privacy, decorative, and selected safety options are chosen only after inspecting the existing glass.

What this service is built to do
Evaluate solar-control films around window orientation, room use, comfort, and daylight—not a generic energy-savings promise.
Select film for screens, furnishings, floors, and spaces where direct light makes everyday use uncomfortable.
Reflective, frosted, patterned, and decorative options can change visibility and appearance without replacing the glass.
Product cut sheet
Use these manufacturer-published figures to narrow the conversation. The final recommendation is confirmed against the exact shade, vehicle or glazing system, and written warranty.
Premium selective solar film
A non-metallized multilayer option designed for solar control while maintaining a lighter, less reflective appearance.
Ceramic solar-control film
A neutral ceramic family for glare, solar, and UV control when a lower-reflectivity appearance is preferred.
Purpose-selected options
Reflective privacy, frost, pattern, and glass-retention products are matched to lighting conditions and compatible glass.
Read before comparing: Energy and comfort results depend on glass, window area, orientation, shade, climate, and household use. Daytime privacy changes when interior light becomes brighter than exterior light. Safety film can help retain broken glass but cannot guarantee prevention of entry, injury, or loss.
A practical fit
From conversation to finish
Identify the rooms, time of day, glare, heat, privacy, and appearance goals.

Own the result after installation
Warranty
For qualifying 3M residential applications, current written terms may include a lifetime performance warranty while the original purchaser owns and occupies the residence. Coverage is non-transferable and differs for rentals and special applications.
Aftercare
Correction policy
This summary does not expand a manufacturer warranty or limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper cleaning, road debris, glass or paint failure, pre-existing defects, or unauthorized work is not a workmanship defect.
Before you book
Not necessarily. Selective and ceramic options can preserve more visible light than dark privacy film. Review physical samples on the actual glass before deciding.
No fixed savings should be promised. Results depend on the home, glass area, orientation, climate, shade, HVAC, and how the space is used.
Reflective daytime privacy reverses when the interior is brighter than outside. Frosted or decorative film may be a better fit where two-way privacy is required.
