Specialty systems

Safety, anti-graffiti & exterior film

Purpose-built products for glass retention, sacrificial surface protection, or exterior access constraints require project-specific details.

  • Attachment may be required
  • Not bulletproof
  • Warranty varies by series and orientation

Read before comparing: Published values are nominal and depend on glass, shade, pane construction, coatings, exposure, and test method. Safety and security film can help retain broken glass and may delay forced entry; it is not bulletproof and cannot guarantee prevention of entry, injury, death, or property loss.

A practical fit

Who it works for.

  • Offices and tenant improvements
  • Retail storefronts and showrooms
  • Schools, clinics, and managed properties
  • Facilities planning solar, decorative, anti-graffiti, or safety film

Warranty, aftercare & correction policy.

01

Warranty

Commercial duration varies by series and orientation

Current 3M commercial performance terms range by product family; interior Prestige is listed at 15 years and Ceramic Architectural at 12 years, while exterior and sloped-glass applications use different terms.

  • Glass-breakage and seal-failure coverage, when available, has separate eligibility rules and durations.
  • Do not assume thermal-breakage coverage for XPEL VISION; confirm the governing project document before advertising or purchase.
  • The proposal should state product, glass, labor, exclusions, claim path, and available remedy.
02

Aftercare

Protect the cure and finish.

  • Do not clean new film for 30 days and allow extra cure time in cool or humid conditions.
  • Use mild detergent, microfiber, a soft synthetic sponge, or a soft squeegee after cure.
  • Do not use bristle brushes, abrasives, pressure washing, tape, or sharp tools; contact the installer before another contractor alters filmed glass.
03

Correction policy

A clear inspection path.

  1. Allow the product’s normal curing period before judging final appearance; temporary haze, moisture pockets, and limited optical variation can be normal during cure.
  2. Contact Tint & Go Pro at (951) 904-4177 with clear photos and proof of purchase before picking, scraping, removing, re-tinting, or allowing another company to alter the affected area.
  3. Tint & Go Pro will inspect workmanship concerns separately from manufacturer product defects and compare the issue with the applicable written warranty.
  4. When a covered workmanship issue is confirmed, Tint & Go Pro will correct the affected installation area. Manufacturer defects follow the manufacturer’s claim and authorization process.

This summary does not expand a manufacturer warranty or limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper cleaning, road debris, glass or paint failure, pre-existing defects, or unauthorized work is not a workmanship defect.

Before you book

Questions, answered.

Can commercial film be installed without disrupting operations?

Often the work can be phased by elevation, tenant zone, or off-hours, but access, furniture, security, and cure conditions must be planned in the written scope.

Is safety film bulletproof?

No. Safety film can help retain broken glass and may delay entry, but it cannot guarantee prevention of entry, injury, death, or property loss. Some systems require a compatible edge attachment.

Can you match a film to Low-E glass?

Compatibility depends on where the Low-E coating sits, pane construction, size, exposure, and the selected product. A glazing assessment is required before approval.
