01

Gloss or matte PPF

3M Scotchgard Pro Series 200

A 7.9 mil polyurethane film with a hydrophobic top surface and heat-activated self-healing for minor surface marks.

  • 7.9 mil nominal thickness
  • 10-year consumer warranty
  • Gloss and matte finishes
02

Self-healing clear PPF

XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS

A clear-coated polyurethane film designed to resist common road wear, staining, and abrasion while preserving the paint appearance.

  • ULTIMATE PLUS 10: 9.6 mil nominal
  • 10-year limited warranty
  • Transferable subject to written terms

Read before comparing: PPF is a sacrificial protective layer that reduces the risk of common paint damage. It is not impact-proof and cannot prevent every chip, dent, scratch, stain, or paint failure. Self-healing applies to minor surface marks—not deep cuts or punctures.

Warranty, aftercare & correction policy.

01

Warranty

Manufacturer coverage plus documented workmanship review

Coverage applies only under the selected manufacturer’s written warranty and the shop’s documented workmanship terms. Product failure and installation concerns are inspected separately.

  • 3M Pro Series 200 includes a 10-year consumer warranty under current written terms.
  • XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH include a 10-year limited warranty against specified manufacturing defects.
  • Road-debris impact, collision, deep scratches, water spots, paint failure, and improper washing are not treated as film-manufacturing defects.
02

Aftercare

Protect the cure and finish.

  • Wait the period specified for the installed product before washing—3M advises one week; XPEL advises at least 48 hours.
  • Remove bugs and contamination promptly without abrasive tools.
  • Avoid pressure washing film edges and follow the selected manufacturer’s sealant or maintenance guidance.
03

Correction policy

A clear inspection path.

  1. Allow the product’s normal curing period before judging final appearance; temporary haze, moisture pockets, and limited optical variation can be normal during cure.
  2. Contact Tint & Go Pro at (951) 904-4177 with clear photos and proof of purchase before picking, scraping, removing, re-tinting, or allowing another company to alter the affected area.
  3. Tint & Go Pro will inspect workmanship concerns separately from manufacturer product defects and compare the issue with the applicable written warranty.
  4. When a covered workmanship issue is confirmed, Tint & Go Pro will correct the affected installation area. Manufacturer defects follow the manufacturer’s claim and authorization process.

This summary does not expand a manufacturer warranty or limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper cleaning, road debris, glass or paint failure, pre-existing defects, or unauthorized work is not a workmanship defect.

Before you book

Questions, answered.

What areas should I protect first?

The front bumper, hood, fenders, mirrors, rocker areas, and door cups are common priorities, but the right coverage depends on how the vehicle is used.

Is PPF the same as ceramic coating?

No. PPF is a physical film intended for impact and wear protection; coating focuses on surface behavior, gloss, and easier routine maintenance.

Can PPF be installed over damaged paint?

Existing paint condition matters. The shop should inspect chips, repairs, clear-coat issues, and recent paintwork before recommending installation.
